TESTIMONIALS Hear What Our Participants Have To Say
The [Adaptive Adventures] Stars Youth Ski Camp was great...Hannah loved it. She had an instructor named Dana, and Carol the volunteer. What a team. Hannah learned a lot more about life than skiing! She can’t wait to go next year...My only regret is that we didn’t do this sooner (previous years). THANKS THANKS THANKS!

Hey Joel and Matt- Thanks again for offering a great opportunity for Greg and myself. We had a great time and definitely opened Greg’s eyes to what’s possible for him. He said repeatedly on the fl ight home, “the best 5 days of my life”. I hope he can use these feelings to motivate himself forward in a new direction. If all goes well this year, we’ll be back for the adult camp next winter. You’ve inspired Greg and me more than you know. Keep up the good work. Hope to see you for some wake boarding this summer...And thanks again for arranging ski time with Sandy. Defi nitely a highlight for both of us.

Again, we had a great time. Gwen is proud of what she did and loves to talk about it. I was checking out your website more in depth last night and noticed that apparently you bent some rules to let Gwen come since your age range starts at 8. I’m glad you did! It changed us both in ways we can only begin to understand.” Saren - Mother of 6-year old Gwen - Read the full testimonial

Hey there Matt, I just wanted to say Thanks for the Great Instruction you provided on the slopes. I feel that I have improved greatly since I started monoskiing. I always enjoy coming to the Vail camp. Hanging out with everybody is a blast! When I had to leave I was saddened because of the great time I had and all the new people I met. I hope to hang out with the everybody again during the summer months. Well, I have to get some things done today ...Thanks again for the work you do with putting the camp together and the instruction you provide. - Darin Cuskelly

Matt and Joel! I wanted to send you an e-mail to express how thankful I am for a wonderful camp! You guys are doing such a great thing for such a deserving group! I knew I was going to learn a lot, but I didn’t realize how much I would learn from the participants and other volunteers as well. I enjoyed both of your enthusiasm for what you do. I know that planning, preparing, and dealing with event logistics can be grueling and de-motivating. If this was the case, you didn’t show it! From arrival, to working with Vail Adaptive, to departure - it appeared to be seamless! ... I hope to be part of future Adaptive Adventure adventures (hard to say fast) and look forward in seeing the action photos on the website! - Dan Marshall

Joel, Mau, and Matt, I wanted to write a thank you letter regarding the Stars of Tomorrow Camp in Steamboat this year. It was a first rate camp as usual. Our year wouldn’t be complete without attending one or two of your events.... I must say all the volunteers were first rate people, knowledgeable and motivated to help. I don’t know where you find them all, but keep up the good recruiting on the volunteer front. They really “make” the experience for the participants... .I want you all to know how important I think it’s been for Pierce to be around Adaptive Adventures. He’s living life and not watching it, in large part from his exposure to Adaptive Adventures’ activities. - Bruce Grandchamp (Pierce’s Dad) Read the full testimonial

I just wanted to thank you again for the opportunity to take part in the Camp. It was the most well organized and cost-efficient camp I've yet been to and look forward to taking part in it next year. Good going!! - Darryl Coit
"I prefer sit skiing over regular skiing. My first opportunity to get out of the military hospital after my injury was at the Adaptive Adventures Ski & Ride camp in Keystone. It's something I'll never forget…the Experience of a lifetime." - Airman 1st Class Kevin Krogh – Double above knee amputee
“What I love most about Adaptive Adventures events is that they are not making it easy,” said Salau. “They’re making us use everything we’ve got left to challenge ourselves and learn how to be active again. It’s not about pity…It’s about living my life again. Thank you Adaptive Adventures!” -First Lieutenant Ed Salau - Above the knee amputee - lost his left leg when a rocket propelled grenade hit his humvee in an attack in Iraq in 2004
