Adaptive Cycling 101 Clinic
May 9, 2009 - Northerly Island, Chicago, IL

Sponsored by: PVA, World Sport Chicago, US Paralympics, and the Chicago Park District

The Adaptive Adventures cycling season got off to a rousing start last Saturday in Chicago. The day marked the first formal event in the Adaptive Adventures / Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA) cycling partnership. In addition to AA and GLASA, the clinic brought out all the key adaptive cycling providers in the area including Project Mobility, Schwab SPIN Handcycle group and RIC Sports. In addition, representatives from leading manufacturers Invacare Top End and Freedom Ryder were also on hand lending equipment and expertise to the mix. With over 50 adaptive bikes on hand, it was one of the most impressive displays of equipment we have ever seen! A special thanks to Pam Redding of World Sport Chicago for getting the cycling season in Chicago off to a rolling start.

Stay tuned for more information and events from the exciting new AA/GLASA partnership
and our new Great Lakes Adaptive Cycling Club.
