Cycling
and Handcycling Camps and Clinics
From
time to time, Adaptive Adventures, which is also a USHF National
Team recruitment
camp, will host a camp or clinic in an effort to recruit new
riders. Our team of experts includes: National Team Coaches,
Adaptive Adventures staff, U.S. Handcycling Team Members (including
National and World Champions), Equipment Experts and Diet
& Nutrition Experts.
Camps
and clinics are typically designed for new riders, experienced
racers and intermediate handcyclists - looking to elevate
their riding to a new level. Rides are often of varying lengths
and intensities with a fully supported sag wagon and pace
riders. Down-time will usually consist of mini clinics focusing
on maintenance, nutrition, seating and positioning. Participants
learn how to develop a complete training schedule to reach
their cycling goals. They will learn how to eat right for
rides, races, and weight loss and how to avoid ?the bonk.?
Potential racers all learn advanced training techniques,
tactics, and strategy from top coaches and racers?..all in
a social, fun environment.
